Run AI Models on Your Own Computer — No Cloud, No Subscriptions

Your Own Private AI, Running Locally

Most AI tools send your conversations to someone else’s servers. Koda doesn’t. It runs powerful open-source language models directly on your Mac or Linux machine — no internet required, no usage fees, no data leaving your device.

Why Run AI Locally?

  • Privacy — your prompts never leave your machine
  • No rate limits — if your hardware is free, the model is ready
  • No subscription — pay once for the hardware, run forever
  • Full control — choose any model, any settings, any time

What Is Koda?

Koda is a simple setup tool that handles the hard parts of running AI models locally. It downloads models from HuggingFace, starts a local server with a built-in chat interface, and exposes an OpenAI-compatible API — so any app that works with ChatGPT can work with your local model instead.

Works With the Tools You Already Use

Koda’s local server speaks the same API as OpenAI, so it drops into VS Code, OpenCode, and any other AI-enabled tool without extra configuration.

Koda is free and open source. Full setup instructions, bundled model profiles, and deployment options are on GitHub.
